Here is another super easy Keto recipe that can be easily adapted for the whole family. I’m saying if it’s easy enough for me to cook in an RV than anyone can do it. I also love that this recipe could be used for any meal of the day. Truthfully, I never cook breakfast for actual breakfast. It’s always breakfast for dinner at my house. That is the only time of day sausage and biscuits, pancakes and bacon, or waffles make an appearance at my house.
I love that you can make one-minute microwave biscuits for the people in your family on the Keto diet and pop open a can of biscuits for the rest of the family and easily bake them for them in the oven. When I went searching for Keto biscuits and gravy recipes all the recipes I saw had oven biscuits that were very involved. I need quick and easy recipes to feed my family and stay on plan while traveling. The extra bonus was I was able to make the gravy using my instant pot on sauté mode. So just in case you also want to save your precious propane dollars know that is an option as well.
Keto Sausage Gravy
Keto Sausage Gravy
Ingredients
- 2 tbs butter or ghee or whatever fat you want
- one pound ground pork sausage
- 1.5 cups chicken broth
- .5 cup heavy cream
- 2 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 tsp xanthum gum
Instructions
- Start by adding the butter to a pan over medium-high heat and allow butter to melt.Add pork sausage and brown it. Once the sausage is cooked all the way through, add chicken broth and let it come to a boil. Add cream cheese and heavy cream and stir until cheese is melted. Add xanthum gum and stir continuously until the sauce is thick. Once you have reached the desired consistency remove from heat.Allow gravy to cool and serve.
Keto Microwave Mug Biscuit
This single-serve recipe for the one-minute microwave mug biscuit is only 2.4 g net carb per biscuit!
One Minute Microwave Mug Biscuit
Equipment
- 1 Microwave Safe Mug
Ingredients
- 1 tbs coconut flour
- 3 tbs almond flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbs butter or ghee or 1 tsp Avocado oil
Instructions
- Mix the coconut flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt together in a sturdy microwave sage mug.
- Mix in egg and oil of choice to incorporate well with a fork.
- Microwave on high for one minute (if it’s still wet on the top add an additional 15 seconds).
- Use a butter knife to remove biscuit from cup and slice in half. Mug may be HOT!
Combine both of these recipes to make a great meal. Ladle on gravy over biscuits and serve. We also love to fry up an egg or two to eat along the side and often eat the gravy with the egg as well.
This healthy meal is super easy and very satisfying! It is also a great leftover meal throughout the week because the gravy is already made and the biscuits are quick and so much better fresh anyways!
