It’s no secret I am an avid lover of my instant pot. It has singlehandedly replaced many contraptions in my kitchen and using it in the RV is one of my all-time favorite things because it saves on space, time and propane.
Because I am eating Trim Healthy Mama style which is an amazing healthy eating plan that alternates between eating healthy carb meals full of energy with satisfying fat meals (that are more like Keto style with low to no carbs) my instant pot has even become more of my best friend as I have found so many amazing and easy recipes to help us stay on plan and eat and feel more healthy.
Trim Healthy Mama and Keto are different in many ways. But they do have a bit of a crossover as many of the meals and snacks are on par with each other when eating “S” meals or satisfying meals on Trim Healthy Mama. They both share the fact that they don’t advocate artificial sweeteners or using refined sugars. Because of that when searching new recipes or for snacks, it’s easy to use the buzz word Keto to readily find more recipes. So while on my blog you will see a lot of Keto recipes, snacks and tips the truth is I don’t do Keto and I probably never will. While I know it works so well for some, I have a hard time following a diet plan that doesn’t allow you to eat apples, carrots or sweet potatoes.
I also love Trim Healthy Mama because it’s a healthy eating plan I feel comfortable incorporating my children in. They can eat healthy crossovers that include both carbs and fats while I just separate them for myself until I reach my goal weight. I am also concerned about the long term affects Keto may have on the adrenals and thyroid because we really do need those healthy carbohydrates such as sprouted wheat, sweet potatoes, lentils, carrots, and apples.
That being said if you are interested in learning more about the Trim Healthy Mama lifestyle I highly suggest you start with the Trim Healthy Table cookbook as it includes a really quick insightful overview and join the Trim Healthy Mama Facebook group for beginners. Lots of great resources and testimonials.

25 Easy and Delicious Keto and Trim Healthy Mama S Instant Pot Recipes
Keto Instant Pot Zuppa Toscana
This is one of my all-time favorites. It’s so easy, creamy and delicious. It takes very little effort and so perfect for those cold nights. For my kids, I pair it with sprouted wheat bread with some Light Laughing Cow Cheese and it fills us all up.
Lemon Butter Chicken
So rich and bursting with flavor and the chicken is tender and juicy. I love this effortless meal for when we are craving takeout and need something quick! For the kiddos, I like to pair this with basmati brown rice and a veggie and for us, I’ll sauté some zucchini or whip up a hearty salad.
Instant Pot Sour Cream Pork Chops
This is one I come back to over and over again. I love to make it on Sundays because while it’s incredibly easy it feels “fancy”. It has amazing flavor and the sauce is almost drinkable. Perfect for a side of cauliflower mash and some steamed veggies.
Keto Taco Soup
Taco Soup is definitely a crowd-pleaser. It is quick, delicious and so rich and comforting. It’s definitely a go-to in our house and it is easy to adapt for the non-Keto eaters in the house. Give them some Organic Blue Corn Tortilla chips to add to their soup and keep yours with sour cream and cheese.
Instant Pot Keto Butter Chicken
I love introducing my kids to new flavors and encouraging them to try new things but since we aren’t going to a ton of restaurants right now we are making them at home. Butter chicken is one of my favorites and it is so easy to make! I top mine with cauli rice and although the nan is missed, the dish holds pretty solid without it.
Instant Pot Cream Cheese Chicken Thighs
Sometimes you just need a comforting and hearty meal and this is just the ticket. It’s easy and satisfying and the whole family will enjoy.
Instant Pot Keto Cheesy Broccoli Soup
Soup is just a no brainer when it comes to the instant pot. It’s so easy and satisfying and honestly really quick to throw together! Plus it makes for great leftovers.
Creamy Keto Shrimp Scampi
I love something a little different that is also delicious! This shrimp scampi is perfect for a special occasion or just a weekend date night.
Instant Pot Chicken Wings
Just because it’s Football season doesn’t mean you have to miss out or go off plan! Make a big batch of these and enjoy the game with friends guilt-free!
Savory Italian Beef
If you are feeding a crowd this is a perfect choice because it makes a ton and it’s easy to incorporate some side dishes for everyone no matter how they are choosing to eat. Plus the leftovers are even better!
Low Carb Pizza Casserole
I’m going to be real, I miss pizza most days. I try to make as many off-shoots of my favorite food as possible and somedays it’s just so tempting to head to our favorite takeout when we are tired and don’t want to cook. But have no fear this is so quick and easy to throw together- faster than Pizza Hut can deliver!
Instant Pot Beer Brats
I love a good brat- and it’s so easy to stay on plan when you can eat one of these juicy sausages smothered in mustard with some yummy green olives, a salad, and maybe some savory cheese on the side (this is my favorite lunch by the way).
Instant Pot Cabbage Soup
I was skeptical of this one. I didn’t know how my family would respond to it, but I got an overwhelming happy response and they gobbled up their bowls and asked for seconds. They had no clue how healthy it is was for them!
Instant Pot Carnitas
Another great option to feed a crowd for days! So many different things you can do with these delicious tender morsels. You can add them to low carb tortillas for tacos or enchiladas, make a hearty and healthy salad, or just eat them as a side to veggies.
Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli
Ditch the take-out! I know how hard it can be to be tempted but you will feel so much happier going with this low carb Keto version and it’s easy to make and quick! A side of cauliflower rice will round out this flavorful dish.
Keto Stuffed Peppers
When you really want to switch things up and wow your family, you will adore this fun take on stuffed peppers. My kiddos like to eat theirs over noodles and I like mine with a side of salad. Really fun to make if you have friends coming over.
Instant Pot Sausage and Peppers
Who doesn’t want a quick and easy satisfying meal? Keep this one in your repertoire for busy nights. Don’t be fooled by the list of ingredients and how short it is, this is extremely flavorful and delicious!
Instant Pot Keto Steak Fajitas
One of my favorite things to make is fajitas, especially when paired with low carb tortillas or used to top a salad with heaping spoonfuls of guacamole. I absolutely love this instant pot version because it’s hands-off and quick.
BBQ Chicken with Bacon and Cheese
Don’t let the BBQ season get you down because you are busy and are on a healthy eating lifestyle. This dish packs a flavorful and satisfying punch but definitely needs a pairing of vegetables and a salad to round out its heaviness.
Keto Jalapeno Popper Soup
I feel like when you are first kicking sugar out of your diet, heavy spices does a great deal at keeping the cravings at bay. Because it’s so flavorful it keeps your mind off of the naughty stuff. This soup adds a little heat and excitement to your menu!
Instant Pot Keto Chili
There was no way I wasn’t going to add Chili into this roundup. Chili is my all-time favorite thing to use my pressure cooker for. It just marinates the flavors together so quickly and effectively and tenderizes the meat and veggies in a way that can’t be matched. Plus, I don’t know that many people that don’t enjoy Chili.
Egg Roll in a Bowl Instant Pot Version
If you do Trim Healthy Mama or Keto you have probably heard of this delicious and easy meal. It’s by far one of my favorites. But I love that you can quickly and easily make an instant pot version. My secret? I love a couple of squirts of siracha on top. So delicious.
Instant Pot Keto Crack Chicken
It’s so good it’s like crack- but it’s chicken, bacon, and cheese so it’s totally ok. Have your family talking about this dish all week and begging you to make it again! It’s for sure a family favorite.
Instant Pot Salmon
Cooking Salmon in the instant pot has changed my life. I was scared of salmon and making it tender and delicious in my previous life. Not any more. I buy the individually frozen wrapped salmon and can quickly make a lunch or dinner in just minutes. MINUTES!
Instant Pot Balsamic Pot Roast
Ok before you get upset for me adding one more pot roast, please believe me that you haven’t had pot roast if you haven’t had a balsamic version. I don’t know exactly what it is, but the balsamic just adds so much flavor and tenderness to the roast that it melts in your mouth. This is by far one of my favorites.
