We love to be on the ski slopes but what do you do as a parent with kids that are too young to be out there with you? Did you know that there are many ski resorts with childcare? It’s so nice to be able to go on vacation and be able to bring your baby or toddler along.  You can even bring along baby to your winter ski destinations and find solace, knowing that she is being taken good care of while you are hitting the slopes. 

Here is a list of ski resorts that offer daycare services with links to their programs. Most even accept infants! This list will be constantly updated and added to so you see any missing from the list comment below! Remember to book in advance! Most of these ski resorts offering childcare fill up.

Ski Resorts with Child Care

Aspen Snowmass

Aspen hosts Cubs Camp at Camp Aspen Snowmass for kids 1-3 that know how to walk. They have playrooms, guided art and music activities, and even have rides in ski gondolas for toddler-friendly nature activities. ride up the Elk Camp Gondola for toddler-friendly adventures and interaction with nature.

Big Sky

Big Sky has a daycare that will be open in the Lone Peak Playhouse at the base of the ski slopes allowing you to enjoy the snow and leave them in a safe and fun environment. Kids can have their fill of interaction, imagination & dramatic play, arts and crafts, puzzles, games, outdoor playtime and more.  They also have nap rooms and meals available.

Kids over 2 can add a ski lesson to their day’s activities.

Breck

Breck takes kids ages 2 months – 4 years old. They offer indoor and outdoor activities and include healthy snacks for kiddos older than 12 months. All of their three childcare facilities are nut-free.

Brule

Brule in Michigan offers daily childcare for kids too young to ski at their Kid’s Center for children ages 1 and up. Childcare is available from 9am-4pm daily.

Brundage Mountain Resort 

Brundage in West Central Idaho has a state-certified daycare center offering care for children as young as 6 weeks. They have a special drive-up drop off so parents don’t have to cart kids across a snowy parking lot.

Butternut

Butternut accommodates kids from 6 months to 8 years old. They’re open daily even on Christmas Day. Book with them in advance, space is limited.

Crystal Mountain Resort

Crystal Mountain Resort is home to Adventure Care which is available for infants up to age 6. The daycare is located in the same building that the ski school, based near the bunny slopes. They have an outdoor playground and with parental permission, the kids can play outside in the snow.

Crested Butte

Crested Butte Mountain Resort has Camp CB Nursery- the littlest adventurers can also explore the virtues of CBMR via the resort’s Camp CB Nursery ages 2 months to 3 years. 

Parents can rest assured their miniatures are in expert hands, allowing them to conquer mountains and pursue their own adventures in Crested Butte.

Deer Valley

The Deer Valley Children’s Center is a state-licensed facility and takes children ages 2 months to 12 years. Activities include storytelling, art projects, imagination activities, singing and a lot of playtime and toys. They divide kids according to age groups and they also feature indoor and outdoor play areas. Full-day programs include lunch.

Grand Targhee

Grand Targhee Resort’s licensed childcare center is the perfect place for your children to play and have fun. Children ages 2 months to 5 years of age who need some indoor program time. 

They offer half and full-day childcare and even offer childcare and lesson packages. Full-day childcare includes lunch. 

Jackson Hole Resort

The Wrangler Daycare at Jackson Hole welcomes children ages 6 months to three years months in an age-specific environment. 

Children 24 to 36-months are encouraged to engage in their pre-ski program. As long as the weather is nice the children have the opportunity to enjoy the snow, ride the Bridger Gondola and tour Teton Village on sleds.

Jiminy Peak

Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort offers Cub’s Den Playroom for children 6 months old and older who prefer indoor play. The Cub’s Den is open daily during the winter season. They have a 2 hr minimum and lunch is available at a cost.

Keystone

Perfect for children too young to hit the slopes, Keystone’s childcare center takes in children from 2 months to 6 years old. Reservations are recommended especially on weekends.

Loveland Ski Area 

Loveland Child Care accepts kids 18 months – 12 years of age. They offer daily, half-day, and hourly rates while you enjoy Loveland Ski Area. Child care here offers age-appropriate toys, games, art projects, healthy lunches & snacks, as well as outside time in the snow.

Mammoth Mountain

Mammoth Mountain in the Eastern Sierras of California has one of the longest seasons and some of the best conditions in the U.S. They also offer top-of-the-line childcare facilities and lessons for children. Their child cares is state-licensed facility offering high-quality daycare for children ages newborn to 5 years, centrally located by the Main Lodge. 

Park City Mountain

Park City Mountain has childcare available 7 days in the winter and weekdays in the spring and summer. Their childcare facility provides fun, age-appropriate activities, snow play and arts & crafts. Reservations are required.

Stratton Mountain 

Stratton Mountain’s daycare facility is conveniently located right at the base of the mountain in their charming village. They provide childcare services for infants as young as 6 weeks old up to 3 years. Parents can opt to enroll their children in on-snow activities starting at two years old, while those four through twelve years are welcomed at the Winter Junior School.

Smuggler’s Notch Resort

Smuggler’s Notch Resort in northern Vermont offers daycare center Treasures. Treasures offers a slopeside location so that skiing parents can check on their kids ages 6 months to 7 years. They have dedicated parking for easy drop-off and pick-up, one-way viewing mirrors in each classroom so that parents can check on their children without disturbing their play, child-sized toilets and sinks, and in-house kitchen for quick and easy preparation of meals. They even have a private nursing room for nursing moms and babies and radiant floor heating so that little crawlers stay warm on the floor. 

Snowbird

Snowbird’s Superior Childcare daycare facility is available for children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Superior Childcare is a great Snowbird daycare option and provides a nurturing environment with a variety of age-appropriate activities.

Steamboat

Steamboat in Colorado provides childcare for kids 1 to 6 years old. Professionals provide children in this program with excellent care. Each childcare room provides age-appropriate activities and lots of fun while Mom and Dad are enjoying the slopes.

Vail

The Golden Peak Daycare & Nursery is the only facility of its kind on Vail Mountain. The Child Care Center offers a fun environment where your child can play during your stay with their experienced staff. They accept children 2 months to 6 years old.

Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb offers fully licensed childcare programs for children aged 18 to 48 months. All of their staff are trained in First Aid and love kids so your children will have a great time. They offer complimentary TELUS pagers so you can rest assured that everything is fine and enjoy your ski day with peace of mind. This is a fun, stimulating, age-appropriate environment in three convenient locations.

Winter Park Resort 

Hit the mountain knowing your kids are having just as much fun as you! They have games, crafts, snow, and hot cocoa for kids ages 6 months – 6 years.

Whiteface Mountain

Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort near Lake Placid, NY. Has Cub Camp for kids ages 1-6 as long as they walk. Half-day and full-day rates available, and childcare season passes are available as well. It is a safe, friendly and fun place for young, non-skiing children to play, relax and make friends. 

Kids participate in supervised activities such as arts and crafts, games and sing-a-longs all daylong. They can choose from a large selection of toys and books or can curl up in front of a movie shown on our flat-screen television with surround sound.

Whitetail Resort

Whitetail Resort offers a center-based facility for children ages 6 months to 12 years. Their goal is for children to enjoy a great time of their own while their parents ski.

Reservations for childcare are required for ages 6 months to 2 years of age due to limited availability.

  2. You didn’t mention Ski Santa Fe. They have a great daycare center but you have to stay in town. No worries though… it’s only a 20-minute drive from downtown up the Hill!

  3. Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, has The Babes in the Woods Nursery. Serves kids ages 2 months to 5 years. Enjoy a worry-free day on the slopes while their caring staff entertains your child indoors with games, storytelling and crafts. Reservations are required and has full-day (lunch included) and half-day rates.
