Family Friendly Hotel Review: The Curtis, Denver, Colorado

We are always looking for hotels that are unique and different. But since we bring along the babe it’s not always possible to stay somewhere out of the ordinary. However, when staying in Denver we had the opportunity to stay at the Curtis Hotel, which screamed family friendly the minute we walked in the door.  The lobby is brightly decorated and playing cartoons, and you are greeted with a warm (extremely delicious!) chocolate chip cookie. Don’t worry though; I don’t want to put you off if you don’t travel with kids because this posh hotel will be enjoyed by young and old.

Every floor has a different theme, so kids will love to explore- while adults will appreciate the blast from the past of the best of pop-culture. For example the 5th floor’s theme is one hit wonders and the 8th floor’s theme is Big Hair. Another fun amenity is you can get a wake up call from Elvis or Austin Powers.

The cribs are just your average crib you would expect from any hotel. If you are traveling with young kids or babies we always suggest you get at least a one-bedroom suite. This is not a necessity by any means and we have dealt many times with a regular hotel room. It’s nice because you are able to put the baby to bed and still be able to enjoy your time without worrying about being too loud. But we love the fact that the Curtis offers corner rooms that not only offer a separate bedroom with a very large living space but have the ability to connect to another hotel room. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your stay. Which you will want to extend for many more nights.

Extremely quiet and inviting, we definitely rate the Curtis Hotel, in the heart of downtown Denver, as family friendly. In fact this is probably our favorite hotel we have ever stayed at.
